Barnes and Nobles

So I went to Barnes and Nobles today with my brother because he had to buy things for last minute Christmas shopping and I had a $25 gift card from the family I live with in Fredonia. I told myself I wouldn't buy any more magazines and that I would only buy books about Norway and travel. However, when I discovered that they were somehow out of all Norwegian books, I gave in.

Christmas time is here..

Last night I drove to East Aurora after school to spend time with my mom, stepdad and brother. One of my favorite Christmas movies aside from the usuals (It's a Wonderful life, A Chrstimas Story), is The Family Stone. I think Ilove it so much because it's all about the up's and down's families go through and getting through it because they're all they have. The Stone family gathers one Christmas at their New England home. When their eldest son brings home his uptight girlfriend they all give her a hard time. It's great for some laughs, but it also tugs at your heart as we learn the mother, Cybil, played Diane Keaton, by has cancer. It is easy to feel like you are part of this wonderfully imperfect family. This movie is a tradition I have brought to my family.

Foreign Exchange

hey, I am starting a blog so that I can share with family and friends as I move towards becoming a foreign exchange stdent in Norway. So far I have submitted my initial application and I am currently in the process of starting my final application. It is very exciting and I am looking forward to spending a year thereand learning the language, which is sure to be challenging!
